Ian Newton was saying some of the ABCs and counting his 1, 2, 3's... He was on track developmentally. Then just before he turned 3 years old, he had the MMR vaccine, and we lost him. Immediately upon receiving the vaccine, he developed a fever with inconsolable crying. Little did we know that he would never come out of this, and that more than a decade later he remains non-verbal, and highly sensitive to sound, lights, and touch. Our son, Lamont Newton, has been relentless in providing him personalized dietary guidelines, supplementation, a detoxification protocol, neurofeedback, Hyperbaric Oxygen, and other special services at the Language and Literacy program at University of Michigan. His eye contact, ability to use his tablet for communication, socialization, coordination, sensitivity, bathroom habits, sleep, and anxiety has significantly improved. The gluten-dairy-sugar free diet is imperative for his wellbeing. Correcting gut dysfunction has been crucial to his overall health. He even traveled out of state to a physician who specialized in chelation therapy for autistic children . Needless to say, Lamont went against medical advice by refusing further vaccinations for Ian.
Consider this study from 2014: Measles-mumps-rubella vaccination timing and autism among young african american boys: a reanalysis of CDC data Conclusions: The present study provides new evidence showing that African American males receiving the MMR vaccine prior to 24 months of age or 36 months of age are more likely to receive an autism diagnosis.
Now look at this information from the National Vaccine Information Center 1953: CDC recommended 16 doses of 4 vaccines (smallpox, DPT) from 2 months - 6 years 1983: CDC recommended 23 doses of 7 vaccines (DPT, MMR, polio) from 2 months - 6 years 2013: CDC recommended 50 doses of 14 vaccines between day of birth - 6 years NOTE Today 8+ vaccines are permitted at one appointment, and the CDC recommends vaccines during pregnancy.
AUTISM RATE: 1 in 10,000 (1980) 1 in 500 (1992), 1 in 50 (2013)
OTHER VACCINE INGREDIENTS might include lab altered live or inactivated viruses and bacteria, chemicals, metals such as mercury and aluminum, proteins, antibiotics and human, animal and insect DNA and RNA. This 2017 article in the International Journal of Vaccines and Vaccination details the contaminants (intentional and unintentional) in vaccines and flu shots.
Do vaccines cause autism? YES & NO YES for those who are vulnerable (detox-genetic-environmental link), and NO for those who aren't vulnerable. The vaccine argument is not a black/white yes/no debate.
The first philosophy of modern western medicine is "First do no harm". We don't have scientifically rigorous studies to prove that vaccines and the toxins included with them are safe for most children, especially considering confounding variables of age, dosing, frequency, and schedule of vaccinations........and genetic susceptibility! We do know that families and their healthcare providers must weigh the potential risks and benefits for each individual.
What I want to see is an honest debate around vaccines. Why doesn't the established medical community want to ask the questions? Why do they treat this as a reporting/documentation phenomenon rather than as an epidemic that the numbers suggest? Why are known neurotoxins in vaccines passed off as "safe amounts" when neurotoxins aren't safe in any amounts?
From The National Autism Association "Parents have consistently stated that regression in their child occurred following immunizations. Further research on the increased use of vaccines is warranted and should be conducted with significant stakeholder input. Obvious research that has been ignored, such as health outcomes in vaccinated versus non-vaccinated populations must be undertaken. Certain subgroups may be more susceptible to environmental regression, including those with a family history of autoimmune disorders, premature infants, and children who are ill at the time of vaccination. Researching ways to decrease adverse reactions while increasing the safety of vaccines benefits the overall health of the general public."
This highly respected pediatrician from the Cleveland Clinic wrote an intelligent and compelling article asking the medical establishment and the public to devote more research and attention to a possible relationship between vaccines and autism. He was humiliated and lambasted by "experts" from all over the world who accused him of quackery and asserted the safety of vaccines. He was ordered to retract his comments.
